Your New Role
The Affiliate Media Site Lead is a highly-driven entrepreneurial leader who manages a major affiliate media site with ambitious growth goals. Reporting directly to the Head of Media, you’ll be responsible for steering the end-to-end development, execution, and performance of a flagship site aimed at achieving significant profitability within a two-year window. You bring strong cross-functional leadership skills, exceptional organizational ability, and a sharp understanding of the affiliate marketing space in North America. In this role you’ll steer a team of expert leads across editorial, creative, commercial, performance, and technology functions, orchestrating their work into a cohesive growth roadmap.
What you’ll be working on
- Project Leadership: Own the strategic direction and operational execution of a large-scale media affiliate site with a mandate to go from zero to substantial revenue in two years.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Manage, motivate, and create a collaborative environment for a high-performing team of subject matter leads (Editorial, Creative, Commercial, Performance, Tech) to drive aligned execution of the roadmap.
- Roadmap Development: Translate a high-level ambition into a tactical, time-bound roadmap that includes clear deliverables, KPIs, milestones, and accountability checkpoints. Collaborate closely with cross-functional leads to ensure each workstream aligns with broader business objectives, proactively identify risks and dependencies, and continuously refine the roadmap based on performance insights, market shifts, and team feedback.
- Audience Development: Create and execute plans to attract and retain both English and Spanish-speaking audiences in the North American region.
- Revenue Strategy: Develop monetization strategies grounded in affiliate marketing best practices, with a clear focus on scalable, long-term profitability.
- Progress Reporting: Regularly update the Head of Media and other senior stakeholders on performance progress, course-corrections, and emerging risks.
- Other duties as assigned in support of the Special Project Team.
A little bit about you and your qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in digital media, content strategy, affiliate marketing, or digital product management.
- Bachelor’s degree Business, Marketing, Journalism, English, PR or related fields.
- Demonstrated success leading or launching digital projects from concept through to execution and scale.
- Experience managing or working closely with diverse functional leads (e.g., content, design, SEO, tech, commercial).
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with a proven ability to deliver against ambitious performance targets.
- Deep understanding of the North American digital consumer landscape, particularly in the digital entertainment industry or broader affiliate marketing space.
- Excellent data fluency with the ability to interpret traffic, engagement, and monetization metrics to inform strategy and prioritization.
- Experience launching or scaling affiliate media sites, ideally with both editorial and performance-driven approaches is preferred.
- Familiarity with keyword research, on-page SEO, conversion funnels, and CRO tools is preferred.
- Understanding of content needs and preferences in English and Spanish-speaking markets in North America is a plus.
- Comfort working in fast-paced, high-ambiguity environments with evolving strategies is preferred.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Asana, Jira, Trello, or similar is a plus.
